Supplementation
Supplementation is a fantastic way to give your body and life the helping hand it needs to get through the challenges in our daily lives.
I hear a lot of my patients mention to me that they do not want to take supplements and would like to think that they get all the nutrients and vitamins required from their diet. Unfortunately this is very unlikely.
Even if you do follow a good nutrious diet, the soil that our fresh produce is grown in does not contain the nutrients and vitamins they once did and therefore they cannot be contained in the food we eat.
Why do we do supplements to boost us?
Our daily lives are quite costly on our bodies, stress,fatigue,anger,body changes ( pregnancy,menopause,puberty) , exercise, lifestyle all require more out of bodies than we generally put in. This does not include the times when we actually experience physical symptoms that indicate to us that our bodies are not coping with what is going on – i.e. pain, inflammation, digestive upset, insomnia to name a few.
This does not mean that I suggest all people take a dozen tablets, but sometimes just a little boost is all you need to keep going and cope with what life throws at us.
